Olivia de Villaine is a Swiss photographer currently living in Geneva.
As a mother of two herself, her practice explores the intensity and beauty of motherhood. Through her lens, Olivia portrays the celebration of natural bond and intimacy shared between a mother and child . Her images capture the raw, unfiltered beauty of motherhood, conveying a sense of tenderness, vulnerability, and love. They can challenge societal norms and expectations related to nudity and motherhood, promoting body positivity and self-acceptance. Overall, her photographs capture the pure and authentic essence of the mother-child relationship.
Since 2022, her work has been featured in PhotoVogue on several occasions. She participated in the photoSCHWEIZ festival held in Zurich, Switzerland, in January 2023. In April 2023, she received a special mention at the Geneva photo festival. She has also been selected as one of the artists for Der Greif's Guest Room: Bindi Vora in May. Olivia participated in the Levis x PhotoVogue open call this year and was among the selected artists. Her work has been published in various publications, including Vogue Greece.
